It works pretty gosh darn well. G willikers.I used this to bait five swarm traps last year and caught two swarms, saw one more visit a trap and then leave but I can't blame that on the lure. That's pretty good success rate for swarm traps. I saw bees coming to check my traps even as I was hanging them up in the woods. My only quibble is shelf life, the seller said don't freeze it and then when I asked him, he responded that freezing doesn't affect it, he stores it in his garage in the winter. OK, say one or the other please, this is not really an answer. I will try it again this spring, if I open the bottle and it smells like Murphy's Oil Soap I will go ahead and use it. Bees like that smell. I've kept it in the fridge, not the freezer. One of these bottles is enough to bait about a hundred traps so I hate to throw it out.Only had to apply twice, and in about 10 days we had a new swarm of bees!I can only assume that this product aided a swarm to be attracted to an empty hive along with some sugar water. I've trying though the experts say it's not likely that bees will populate an abandoned hive box. This product, patience (and a bit of luck I suppose) has done the trick!Followed the instructions to a tee... There are just no bees showing up to the hive.I've got bees in the area as they are enjoying my flowers and some old honey I left out for them... But 0 interest in the hive.I've got 3 drops on a cotton ball in a bag on top of the comb... And a couple drops on the landing board but nothing.I've had better luck with just leaving old honey in than with this.I'd be more okay with it if it was not 20 bucks... But yeah. Not worth the price. No controlled study to offer but I have captured two swarms in two traps this year. Easy to apply to traps.I no longer buy packaged bees. I consistently trap enough swarms to keep all hives full and even expand the bee yard.I gave it a three star being hopeful it will eventually attract some new bees. It's just a waiting game now. Cross your fingers!Used Rut Grenade (fromAmazon), Bee Bait Swarm Lure (also purchased on Amazon), someLemongrass oil and bee comb in 3 traps. Set one trap in early March in NC and caught a swarm in 2-3 weeks. Set two more at the end of March and 2-3 weeks later I have two more swarms. ALL three have active hives now.Keep in mind that I set these near about 4 active hives, but there are bees all over this area. Whether they are native or from my hives, I’m sold.
