We use this for our sugar for coffee. Time saver in the morning. Must have if your a avid coffee or tea drinker.If you’re a horse person, you are adding a teaspoon of this and that, and this and that every night. For multiple horses it gets tedious. This devices are speedy and fun to use. A good shake in case there are lumps and a quick squeeze. I was worried they’d be stiff to squeeze but they are easy. it’s made a big difference for me and removed my dread of mixing dinners. I use mine for MSM and Lysine - I got two different colors but they are see through so I needn’t have.The Stevia plant is a great sugar substitute and you can either use the leaves fresh, dried, powdered, or the Two Extracts. The Two extracts are as follows:- Steviosides, the HEALTHY extract. In the past, Stevia was used as a medicine. That is the Steviosides. Cannot be metabolized but is Insanely sweet.- Rebaudioside: Pure sweet. Your body may dislike it and it may leave you with a headache but it is Cheap and Sweet.I filled my device with Steviosides. Problem is that this device cannot be used on the 1/4 tsp and the powder just falls out of the sides and the button.Again, this device is for grains like Salt, Sugar, and pepper along with the rest of the pantry. Not for powder.I had bought this dispenser mainly because I wanted to minimize the sugar mess on my counter. I had been using a spoon to transfer sugar from a dish into my coffee mug. And more often than not I would spill some.When I first got this, I thought it was a 5 star item. But after a bit more usage, I have had to remove stars.Here's the positives:+ It does appear to dose out the selected amount consistently. Other dispensers that dispense from the top, requiring you to tip the container to fill the dispensing nozzle seem to become unreliable as the container empties because less sugar is able to make it into the dispenser before you finish tipping. This dispenses from the bottom. It utilizes a "bottomless bucket" type of dispensing method. When the lever is pressed, the bucket slides over to a hole in the base, allowing the sugar in the "bucket" to empty.+ It does lead to a lot less sugar on my counter. But it's not 100% clean. See the negatives.+ It holds a decent amount. I use 2 teaspoons per 2 coffee cups per day. I have to refill every 2+ weeks. This seems reasonable.+ I have not had a use yet for the sprinkle/pour feature. However, these are nice additions to have and I think can be useful.Here's the negatives:- After using it for a while, I have found that pressing the lever to dispense the sugar actually grinds the sugar a little. When the sugar becomes fine enough, it actually escapes the container from the space between the lever and the container. So while there is over all less sugar spilled on my counter, I do now have powdered sugar on my counter about once every couple of days.- After the first couple of uses, I had decided that I wanted to dispense a smaller amount. I found that changing bucket with sugar in the dispenser is very difficult and messy. After spilling a lot of sugar, I dumped it all out in order to change the bucket. All this despite trying to be very careful to not make a mess. I think this would be a much better product if the buckets could be cleanly and easily swapped out...or even better if you didn't have to swap out the buckets but just chose which one to dispense from.- Removing the top to refill is also cumbersome. The lid is kept on with two tabs (the longer black parts on opposite sides, as you can see in the product picture). The body has a ridge that fits into a notch in the lid. This is what keeps the lid on. If not careful, it seems that it would be easy to crack/break the lid when trying to remove it. Getting one tab high enough to clear the ridge before you can get the other tab up puts pressure on the second tab. That pressure also makes the second tab harder to pull up over it's ridge.Over all a decent enough product. Certainly not perfect. When it does come time to replace this, I will likely look for something better. But until then, this one does the job good enough.Have a break room at work, no sink. So we use wooden stirs and this sugar dispenser has been a hit. At first I didn't think anyone would use it, two weeks later and I saw the sugar was going fast. Apparently everyone likes it, whether they want to pour or squeeze a little sugar. Coffee and tea drinkers both enjoy it.Originally I got it for fancy sugar but table sugar works best because it's small grains. If you don't close the top moisture can make the sugar clump.I work at a greenhouse and we use a granular product that has to be applied in specific quantities to 45k+ planters we grow every year. I knew there had to be an easier (and faster) way than using a measuring spoon. I found things for this exact purpose from specialty greenhouse supplies, but they were bulky and hundreds of dollars. Once I found these, it changed the game!I specifically want to speak to durability. We use these little plastic dispensers like farm equipment. The first time I suggested we try it, everyone was kinda skeptical of this kitchen gadget lasting more than a week. Years later, they have proven themselves, and we affectionately call them clickers. They get used hundreds of times a day, day in and day out for months, all while getting knocked around and dropped on concrete. I'd say on average, they last about 12-18 months. I know that doesn't sound great, but that's tens of thousands of clicks each, in an environment way rougher than any café or kitchen. Plus, a few have been thrown away because of lost lids, or lost all together. Now we get them in different colors for different measures (it's easy to switch, but impractical for us), so we use the correct amount for each size container.We keep buying them because they are simple, reliable and save us a ton of time. If you are looking for a faster way of dispensing thousands of individual tablespoons, this is the answer. The time they save has paid for themselves many times over. They are in-dispenser-able!Best on granular products, bypasses a little, not too much. It arrived exactly as shown in the picture and on time. The despenser allotted the sugar and coffee Whitner just as described.
